Medication management for Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, ADD, Sleep Disorders, OCD & Phobias
As I was a practicing pediatrician before I became a psychiatrist, I have been treating ADHD in children and young adults for over 15 years. It is one of my favorite mental health challenges to treat because, when appropriately managed, the treatment is life changing. I look forward to working with you and your child so that your child can be his/her best self!
At Lighted House Coaching, Emily Zilber helps clients shape lives in which they can thrive. Together, we’ll partner to identify and build skills, systems, and mindsets grounded in individual needs, strengths, interests, and values. As we work through topics & challenges that are important to your life, we’ll unpack shame-based perspectives and build greater self-compassion and self-trust.
Emily’s career as an educator and museum professional, coach training, and lived experience directly support her client work. She is particularly interested in working with artists, creative professionals, people who identify as women or non-binary, adults with mid or late-in-life diagnoses, parents & caregivers, educators, high-achieving professionals, & people struggling with conditions that often co-occur with ADHD and neurodivergence, including disordered eating, depression, and anxiety.
Services I offer include:
One-on-one ADHD coaching
One-on-one creative coaching and consulting
Mentoring and career coaching for neurodivergent creatives
Writing support and coaching for neurodivergent individuals
Workshops and consulting for arts and culture organizations looking to better support and engage with their neurodivergent staff & audiences

I am a PCI Certified Parent Coach®, a mindset coach for parents, a retired Pediatrician, and a mother of four young adults, several with “extra needs”. I support parents of children with special needs, high needs, extra needs, and different needs and work with them so that they can have a calmer, more conscious, more connected, and more confident parenting experience. I work with parents of any child with a physical, mental, emotional, behavioral, or learning difference, or any family facing challenging circumstances such as a divorce, a parent’s illness, a death in the family, a new sibling, or a change in family living arrangements or family dynamics. I help parents reclaim the joy of parenting no matter what challenges they face or struggles they encounter.
I work with parents of any child with a physical, mental, emotional, behavioral, or learning difference including Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD)/Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD), Learning Disabilities or Learning Challenges, Anxiety, Depression, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, or Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder (DMDD) and other mental health and learning differences.
As a Certified Parent Coach, I work with parents. Although I have trained as a pediatrician and have practiced medicine in the past, I am now retired from the practice of medicine and do not treat or work with children. I do not provide medical advice, but instead, I utilize the knowledge gained during my pediatric training and my years working with families to assist parents with their parenting challenges.
All of my coaching is done by phone or video calls.
I am a neuropsychologist with extensive experience in the diagnosis, evaluation, and treatment of ADHD and related disorders. I offer comprehensive diagnostic and evaluation services for ages 2.5 and up. I also offer career assessments and guidance for individuals ages 16 and up who are exploring career options, looking for a career change, or trying to find a career that matches their unique strengths, talents, and abilities. Finally, I offer therapy and counseling services to highly-motivated adults with ADHD. I am an in-network provider with Quest Behavioral Health; I am an out-of-network provider with all other insurance companies. I also supervise postdoctoral fellows, who are able to provide diagnostic and assessment services at a reduced-rate.
Broadly speaking, we provide individualized (and in some cases, group settings) executive functioning coaching and transition support across the lifespan, and also provide professional development to teachers/professors/support staff as well as employers).
We embarked on this journey in a (so far successful!) attempt to solve what we view as a problem effecting society at large (but certain pockets in particular):
The transition(s) to (and through) adulthood is for many people the most significant shift in expectations, required skills and self-advocacy up to that point in time—and from that moment on, the reality of that shift (that life is a constant stream of new (and potentially confusing/usually not well explained) experiences and challenges) becomes THE reality. SOCIETY AT LARGE DOESN’T DO ENOUGH TO PREPARE US FOR WHAT’S TO COME (and leaves particular segments of society in a significantly disadvantaged position as a result).
So, we felt that someone has to do something about it--and that's what we do day in and day out!
Hi, as an Individual, Couples, and Family Therapist, my goal is to help clients become aware of and understand change is always possible. It may not be easy at first but it is doable. I teach behavioral concepts and skills that renew and create healthy and happy relationships.
I'll help you identify your unique strengths to gain access to opportunities that bring joy and satisfaction into your life. As your therapist, I will help you learn how to avoid pain and the consequences of bad decisions through your development of commitment, effective communication and goal setting that will meet your needs and resolve your differences.
The ultimate goal for all of us is to become aware of and understand our thoughts, feelings and behaviors, which have the capacity to provide the means to live a healthy, happy and productive life. Let me help you!
