Mindful Music – Sound Healing for Calm & Focus

Tune in to the power of music to bring more calm, grounding, focus and well-being into your life.
In this interactive sound journey, Heidi will share vocal toning, crystal singing bowls and gentle
drumming for mindful relaxation. Taking time out to rest and restore with healing sound (either
listening or singing) signals the nervous system to shift out of fight-or-flight, allows the body to
do its self-healing work, and encourages the brain to generate the neurotransmitters and
hormones we need to thrive. Please wear comfortable clothing for this session. Feel free to sing
along or simply listen.
Heidi McCurdy, BFA, EXAT, MEd, www.heidimccurdy.com, is an award-winning singer,
songwriter, sound healer and Certified Expressive Arts Therapist. Through more than 20 years
of performing, writing, improvising and teaching, Heidi has cultivated an intimate relationship
with the power of music for healing and transformation. As well as facilitating her own voice
courses and community choir, Heidi has worked with the BC Play Therapy Association, Langara
College, Sarah McLachlan School of Music, Songroots Singing Camp, and Naramata Centre.
