Effective Parenting of a Child with ADHD

Parenting is an exciting adventure. However, for many parents of children with ADHD, their journey includes irritation, confusion, and sadness. In a two-parent household or a multigenerational home, double the level of frustration experienced daily.
There is hope. Many strategies can be effective in freeing parents and increasing the moments of enjoyment with their children who struggle with ADHD. Effective communication, understanding, and fun are a few of the tools that will be discussed.
Jennifer Nowak is a Pennsylvania State Licensed Clinical Psychologist. She has over 20+ years of experience in the field of counseling psychology. Having provided psychological services to children and families in a variety of settings, her areas of expertise include assessment and treatment of Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism, Anxiety, Behavioral Problems, Depression, and Learning Difficulties.
She attained her Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Chestnut Hill College in 1997 and her Doctoral degree in Psychology.
