Social Media & Teens with ADHD

Dr. Proctor will discuss how social media may have a particular impact on adolescents with ADHD. He will give a brief overview of popular social medial platforms, the extent of their use by teenagers, and the risks for those with ADHD. Finally, he will give guidance on parenting approaches to improve competency.
Dr. Proctor is a board-certified psychologist in the Dept. of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at CHOP. He specializes in the evaluation and treatment of ADHD, disruptive behavior disorders, and anxiety disorders.
He has experience treating children through various interventions, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), parent management training (PMT), and exposure and response prevention (ERP).
