The BuxMont CHADD Volunteer Board is made up of parents, adults and professional advisors affected by ADHD.

Claire Noyes

Coordinator

Claire is the founding member and coordinator of BuxMont CHADD, since 2009. She is the mother of two sons who were diagnosed with ADHD as young children and are now young adults. Her drive to help families and individuals with ADHD comes from her own experiences with the educational and emotional challenges of raising children.

Her drive to help families and individuals with ADHD comes from her own experiences with the educational and emotional challenges of raising children. Through her work with CHADD, she has seen the impact of ADHD from childhood to adult and uses that knowledge to help others find their own strengths to live well with ADHD.

Larry Maltin

Treasurer

Larry has been an active member of CHADD at the local and national level for over 15 years. He joined the Board of the original Elkins Park CHADD (now BuxMont CHADD) when his granddaughter (now a college graduate and working as a Public Relations professional in a national firm), was diagnosed with ADHD.

Larry Maltin - Treasurer

Larry has been an active member of CHADD at the local and national level for over 15 years. He joined the Board of the original Elkins Park CHADD (now BuxMont CHADD) when his granddaughter (now a college graduate and working as a Public Relations professional in a national firm), was diagnosed with ADHD. In addition to his duties as Treasurer, Larry served as Program Coordinator for the Parents Group until mid-2019.

Larry has served as a member of several CHADD national committees on the development and support of CHADD’s affiliates, and establishment of its current Chapter Advisory Board. He also led the effort to create CHADD’s “Teachers Card” (Recognizing ADHD in The Classroom), a new tool for educating teachers and parents to help students with ADHD.

In collaboration with The Center for The Management of ADHD at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), Larry helped to create a new CHADD affiliate in Philadelphia. He continues to serve as an advisor to the group. In 2019, Larry was selected as CHADD’s Volunteer Leader of the Year.

Chrissy Mathis

Parent Programming Coordinator

Chrissy resides in Bucks County with her husband and three children. She joined BuxMont CHADD in 2018 when her oldest son was diagnosed with ADHD. A year later, at the age of 38, she received her own diagnosis. Both her experience with ADHD and her former position as a special education teacher have helped her in supporting parents who are navigating their children’s needs and understanding of ADHD.

Chrissy resides in Bucks County with her husband and three children. She joined BuxMont CHADD in 2018 when her oldest son was diagnosed with ADHD. Baylie is a young professional residing in Montgomery County. She is a graduate from Bloomsburg University with a Bachelors in Elementary and Special Education, and a Masters in Deaf Education. Baylie has been a member of Buxmont CHADD since 2014 and a member of the board since 2016.

Baylie is a young professional residing in Montgomery County. She is a graduate from Bloomsburg University with a Bachelors in Elementary and Special Education, and a Masters in Deaf Education. Baylie has been a member of Buxmont CHADD since 2014 and a member of the board since 2016. She joined CHADD to gain a deeper understanding of ADHD and how it impacts her life. In her role as adult programming coordinator, she facilitates monthly meetings and provides resources to other adults with ADHD.

Online Support Group Moderator

Nick resides in Bucks County and is a father of four children. After retirement, he completed coaching courses at the ADD Coach Academy in 2019. He is pursuing his coaching certificate while actively coaching.

He is intensely moved by helping others with ADHD and coordinates the monthly meetings for BuxMont’s CHADD’s online support group.

Website Manager

Tawnya is a mother of two children, one of whom is diagnosed with ADHD and Autism. She’s worked in the media and technology field for more than 20 years conducting user research and managing large websites. She currently manages a corporate applications team at a not for profit in the energy sector. She joined BuxMont CHADD in late 2020 and oversees the website experience and content updates.

Tawnya is a mother of two children, one of whom is diagnosed with ADHD and Autism. She’s worked in the media and technology field for more than 20 years conducting user research and managing large websites. She joined BuxMont CHADD in late 2020 and oversees the website experience and content updates. She brings with her a passion for creating user-centered, easy-to-read websites and aims to create a simple, easy-to-use experience for the visitors to the BuxMont CHADD website.

Shannon Landis

Shannon Landis

Adult Programming Coordinator

Shannon was diagnosed with ADHD in 2021. As she learned more about her diagnosis, she discovered CHADD and really wanted to get more involved. She joined the board in July 2023. Shannon has a BA in Sociology with a minor in Psychology and is fluent in ASL (American Sign Language).
